Love Parade comes to San Francisco

San Francisco, CA September 1, 2004 -- The world's largest electronic music festival is coming to San Francisco on Saturday, October 2nd, 2004. Taking place in the United States for the very first time, the Love Parade is expected to draw thousands to San Francisco's scenic waterfront, with DJs and collectives from around the world spinning the best in electronic music.

Using the universal language of music as both cause and expression, the Love Parade is world famous not only for its eccentrically dressed revelers dancing alongside outrageous floats, but also for its celebration of diversity, promotion of tolerance, and fostering of community. Founded in Berlin in 1989 by DJ/producer Dr. Motte, the event was attended by over 1 million people in 2000, with Mexico City, Capetown and Tel Aviv all playing host to international Love Parades.

San Francisco's Love Parade kicks off on Saturday, October 2nd at 1 PM and heads south along the Embarcadero and culminating in an all-day festival at Terry A. Franηois Boulevard in Mission Bay. House, techno, trance, new school breaks, drum and bass, jungle, and underground hip hop will be spun by celebrated DJs from around the world, including:

•    Derrick Carter (Classic Recordings)
•    Doc Martin (Sublevel)
•    DJ Dan (Moonshine, Kinetic Records)
•    Christian Smith (Tronic Music)
•    Miguel Migs (Transport Recordings)
