eXCHANGE COLOCATION, LLC ANNOUNCES THE OPENING OF EXPANDED FACILITIES IN SAN FRANCISCO, CA

San Francisco, CA, January 29, 2002 - eXchange Colocation, LLC, recognized leader in Internet Datacenter Outsourcing, announces a major expansion of its neutral colocation facilities at 200 Paul Avenue, San Francisco. The opening of dual telecom switching center and Internet Datacenter (managed hosting center) makes new, superior technical space available to high tech companies in the Bay Area.

This important expansion will be celebrated with an open house/reception on January 17, 2002 at the facility, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.

The significant new space, within the primary building, adds approximately 39,000 square feet to the existing 30,000 sq ft colocation center on the 15-acre telecom campus in San Francisco. With a total of 420,000 sq ft (70,000 sq ft datacenter and 350,000 sq ft carrier hotel space), it is the largest telecom and Internet Data Center of its kind in the Western US.

eXchange Colocation, LLC is the premier carrier-neutral colocation facility for telecommunications and e-commerce in Northern California. eXchange provides thousands of square feet of finished space and all the required infrastructure for Internet datacenters and telecom companies. The site provides abundant space (secure cabinets, or larger cage/suites) and the power to support servers and telecom equipment, in spite of electrical supply shortfalls in California. Larger, custom designed, space is also available to major tenants. The company is stable and well funded (part of a 150 year-old parent company), providing security in the changing economy of 2002.

About Colocation: Fast, flexible, but sustainable growth and cost control are keys to survival in the challenging economy of 2002. In this environment, outsourcing becomes the logical way to deal with market changes by allowing companies to focus on core business expertise while allowing companies like eXchange to manage their datacenter facility and its associated costs. eXchange's colocation solutions fit the fast changing business plans of emerging companies. Importantly, its convenient city location and state-of-the-art facilities enable companies to reduce operating costs and stabilize IT management.

eXchange's San Francisco location represents the largest aggregation of telecom carriers providing bandwidth and services to support e-commerce. The site also features sophisticated power backup systems, high-tech security and advanced fire protection (VESDA and FM 200) systems. This tier-one facility offers e-locators the ability to obtain a presence at a gateway to Asia/Pacific and the rest of the U.S. Additionally, eXchange's sister-company, Wave Exchange, owns and operates "Carrier Hotels" and Telecom Campuses for carriers and telecom service providers such as Qwest, XO Communications, RCN and others.
